Botanical IIby davidbedardComment by Dr.Confuser: I like most of the details here. You've got a few highlights that are blown out. And the reflections look "dry" like the flower is dead rather than moist, waxy and alive. The black lump in the lower right doesn't help. Maybe get closer to the bloom? |

Boat Shoesby davidbedardComment by Skip: good luck with the literalist on this one...'evidence of feet' and 'feet' might be a stretch. i like the colors, but am not wild about the composition. maybe if it was rotated about 10 ccw to show all of the shoe shadow and to firmly plant the shoes as the primary subject? |
