BOARDWALKby TLL061Comment by budokan: The boy spoils this shot - he detracts from the lines, doesn't add to them. Everything else is well litm but his face is in shadow. |

HOW YOU DOINGby TLL061Comment by jefalk: I just feel this is not worthy of a portrait entry in all aspects. its not a pose, expression, lighting and exposure are poor. |

HOW YOU DOINGby TLL061Comment by scrum8: Sort of snap-shotist. Photo seems a little hazy or washed out, and soft on the focus. |

HOW YOU DOINGby TLL061Comment by boomer: Seems more like a candid snap than a portrait. I guess technically it's a portrait, but the subject's head is actually a very small portion of the total image and not well lit at that. Hard to get much from what's here... |

HOW YOU DOINGby TLL061Comment by Pedro: this may sound presumptuous (apologies if it does) but this is exactly how my images look straight out of my Rebel. Generally they come out a bit soft, and a bit flat. If it were mine, I'd use both curves and unsharp mask to really bring my subject into light. That's a preference thing, and presumably just my taste - but it's what I'd do. Either way, this is a really fun portrait.
