Gota go peeby TLL061Comment by metoecus: The DOF seems to have been centered on the flora in the background. Because the boy is not uniformly blurry, some or all of the soft focus may have been due to motion blur. If this is the case, a faster shutter speed would have helped.

waverunning in the poolby TLL061Comment by nborton: either filling the frame with the subject or using a shallower DOF would help eliminate distracting elements in the background. such as the overturned float and the other boy. |
