Serendipity after rain by gwsallenComment by rananculus: Originally posted by stdavidson: Nice capture, good DOF and good quality. The digital halo on the rear end of the insect is its only fault. |

Serendipity after rain by gwsallenComment by melismatica: This is a lovely image and honestly represents the theme of serendipity. The subject is tightly focused and the composition is good. You can see the tension in the drop of water as it is just about to drop off the stem. The slight bluring of the bug's antenna works because the rest of the bug is sharply focused. it gives the impression that they are quivering. |

Serendipity after rain by gwsallenComment by borison: Serendipity is a difficult concept to visualize. For me it means being at the right place, at the right time, and being lucky enough to capture something unique. Some of these entries are set up shots trying to illustrate that concept, and some record a serendipitous moment experienced by the photographer themselves. This is a good example of the latter. This certainly feels like a serendipitious moment. The photo itself is great, however the frame is unneccessary and distracting |
