One of my favorites.. Took me 134 shots to get this one just right.. Post: Clone, Heal, Burn, Dodge, Contrast, Difference, Despeckle. Oh, and threw a spot on the flag. I know, that's kind of cheating. But then again, what would Photoshop be for if we couldn't cheat just a little.

Promise, no image layers. All one exposure, if I remember correctly f/2.5, 30" shutter time. Moved tripod from one spot to the next. Uncap lens, count to two-three, cap it, move again. This one hurt and used a lot of batt.

Thanks Blemt and Club Juggle for you inspiration on this shot. You got me started and I just couldn't stop.

Taken at Chimney Rock, NC. I hiked all day just to get this shot, boy was it worth it. A little too much shutter time, but it works for me ;).

I hesitate to make comments since I am obviously not an expert, but here goes: the photo meets the challenge. It is just my opinion that a photo should be able to "stand alone" apart from the challenge (not sure that makes sense, in other words, it should be a good subject even if you don't know what challenge it was entered into). I felt that was where this photo was a little weak -- I couldn't see it having meaning apart from the challenge.

Nothing is in focus and it doesn't look intentional or abstract - just out of focus.
Sorry!

The picture is so dark..and I'm sure alot of people will tell you that. I "chose" the same kind of thing..but with real soldiers that were returning home from Iraq. I am giving you a 7 just cuz I know what you were trying to capture.
