What a wonderful capture. It helps that he is a pretty photogenic cute little guy :-) Something about his size, along the plants seems very proportionally pleasing to look at. The setting, with the hill and trees in the background is very nice. Dof and composition are great. His stance, and looking back across the scene works great. I find my eyes following his gaze, then back along the plants right back to him. He stands out as the subject perfectly, and the scene and lines compliment the image nicely. I also really like how you've gotten down and taken the shot at his level, this obviously is what really makes the whole think work, a thing that many people don't do when photographing children. Very, very nice shot. :-)
