Very nice angle of the roof. The contrast against the roundness of the hill and the colorful trees makes this a pleasing image. I love the way the grain was more heavily applied in the sky.

8 - Good use of grain for the Challenge. Like the 'composition' and the colors and toning. Criticism; not much, want to say more 'vivid' in the greens/reds, but difficult I imagine with contrast issues, especially with the roof. The 'texture', dramatic 'effect' (especially from the 'grain') on the roof, really makes this shot of 'a roof', very nice, so well done. Perhaps a slightly different crop/angle, to cut out that bottom right 'eave', not sure.

great lines and textures. I like the gradation in the background - it adds a subtlety that wouldn't be there if it were pure white. And the title is good as well :)

Just the shell alone would hae worked so much better. The handkerchief just clutters it up as far as I'm concerned.
