lead the wayby GeorgesBogaertComment by MadMan2k: Has an interesting look to it. I like the soft foreground (must have been a pretty long lens to go with a small enough aperture to get the starbursts and still have that shallow DOF). Not sure if this position you shot it from was quite the best for the scene, though. |

Iceberg by GeorgesBogaertComment by nam: One of my two tens. Yes, I've seen fill the frame roses before but none lovelier. And it was the color that got me, I think - wonderful winter whites. Congratulations on the red, George. |

Iceberg by GeorgesBogaertComment by GeorgesBogaert: So surprised to ribbon with this shot. I bought about 20 different flowers at the flower market (it's very cheap here in Taiwan) and took about 100 shots for this challenge. I wanted something colorful. Then I had this box of white Iceberg roses for another project (wedding invitation card) and didn't like the sober white color. I only wanted to keep the curves with a very white tone. It turned out that I went darker and kept more detail. This macro shot is barely processed. Basic editing. I didn't copy ideas from others.
I look at the shots the day after and the ones that jump out I preselect. Then selecting the best one. I'll send my outtakes later.
Still thanks to all the voters for the nice comments and high votes.
To Neat: I do not take pictures for what the voters like, but what I like and what I enter I like that moment (and my mood).
