Your subject seems to have a aversion to the mop, and a halfway smirk. I see a story line.
The young man has made it, finished school, and successful in his endeavors. Maybe he has returned home, maybe it̢۪s just the mop, but he is reminded of what it took to get there. He could have been a janitor, possibly a dish washer, to pay his way threw college. This is only 1 of a multitude of stories this image could hold..
