Lots of appeal to this shot! Excellent processing and subject.
It's difficult, for me especially, to take a shot like this with so much going on, but to have the focal point stationary on, in this case, the child. I normally cheat by using narrow DOF, but in a case like this I'd lose so much of what the story the photo would otherwise tell. So kudos!

Have been away from DPC for too long, mostly because the voters seem (to me) too shiny, shiny , thats sharp and colourful. Just had a browse in the custom pinhole album and this jumped out at me - I like!

It's an image where I (the viewer) get to decide on what the scene is about rather than having it shoved in my face, I call that art.

Beautiful image. I don't dare say I have a box that defines what fine arts is to me, but this speaks volumes. I'm going to give this a 10, but don't be surprised if you lose that 10 at rollover, as I'll likely just still be here staring at it, without voting on the required 20%.
