Stockroom Rollersby cainnComment by sfalice: Good seeing. Fits the challenge nicely. You were successful in your limited depth of field attempt, but if it was mine, I'd probably crop about 1/3 off the top to keep the viewer in the picture longer. |

Stockroom Rollersby cainnComment by e301: No sense of a point fo focus in this, for me. The very shallow dof works against the image a little - I think just a touch more depth might have given the eye somehwere to dwell, for at least a while. The metallicness of the metalwork is fine, but I'd love to see some sense of the texture of the roller surfaces too. Not a bad use of mono though. |

+ Textures are here just like rhythm! Good use of B/W to bring out the shapes and textures.
- The DOF is too shallow. |

Stockroom Rollersby cainnComment by jpochard: This could have been a good DOF entry. I personally don't like so much out of focus on a texture challenge shot because I think it's harder to really see the texture that way. |

Stockroom Rollersby cainnComment by justine: I would of liked this much more with more dof. In this case. I do love the b&w, the subject and the tones. It's a good entry. |

The Weathervane that sits on top of my garageby cainnComment by tatu54: The one thing I have noticed about these type of shots (Steven Spielburgish, Low angle, shooting high) is that most of them are never level. Always a tilt one way or the other. Yours tilts to the right.
While everyone knows the "four corners" are N, S, E, W, the vane obliterated N and E.
I took this picture while waiting for my daughter to get of the bus.
So you have time to study on how to get all of the elements lined up where everything is just right.
The mood of the picture is great. The darkening clouds and the silhouette of the vane just emphasizes the coming storm.
And lastly, the Challenge you entered this photo in, Garage Art, does not fit the theme. It said "Created IN, not sitting ON.
