The Forgottenby instepsComment by Crisik: very nice and one of few inventive ideas in this challenge, however - isn't the line looking brand new? |

The Forgottenby instepsComment by 2Shay: Nice use of DOF. I like the photo, but the edges of the clothespins look too sharp. They look like they have been cut and pasted in. I don't know if it is due to using unsharp mask, but it just doesn't look quite right. |

The Forgottenby instepsComment by srbrubaker: The problem is that the shiny white clotheslines suggest that these particular clothespins might belong to an inhabited building. If so, then we might call the abandoned building in the background a minor element. ... But we're not going to do any of that. I like the tension between the clothespins and the background. |

The Forgottenby instepsComment by PhilipDyer: I really love this shot. Deep, rich tones and great composition and use of shallow focus. Very nicely done! |

The Forgottenby instepsComment by waterlilies: This has the color tones of film, and you do a good job of pulling off the medium format look here. It reminds me a lot of the stuff I see at //www.makinghappy.com/ . You'll have nitpickers who suggest that the clothes pins make this place not abandoned, or that the focus should be on the building, but I think you've achieved your goal here. The building itself isn't visually very remarkable, but it serves as a good backdrop for the photo. I like it a lot. :) |
