Shades of Scarletby WobbleComment by Skip: what an interesting portrait, especially the coloring. that expression is priceless, and i'm sure this has brought out many, many smiles. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. i might suggest that you consider slightly cropping off the negative space on the left and right edges--too much of a good thing is just that--too much. good luck in this and the coming challenges! |

Shades of Scarletby WobbleComment by les0910: a lovely smile captured, I like the high key effect, I might try to lighten her elbow so it doesn't draw away from her face |

Shades of Scarletby WobbleComment by SandyP: I love this picture. The girl is so pretty, and her smile is so natural looking. I like the way she just kind of fades into the bacground onthe sides. I wonder tho if it's just a little bit too contrasty ??? But I really love the picture anyway!!!!! 8 |

Blinds open to the Pastby WobbleComment by ubique: Effective photograph, due to the impressive reflected building and the unusual window framing it. Not visually stunning, but it rewards a moment's contemplation. 6. |

Shades of Scarletby WobbleComment by Gaia: She looks so happy! She has one of those smiles that makes others smile. Picture overall has a "blown out" look to it. I'd like to see what this photo looks like with more colors. Also, it has a strange mark/ring on the left hand edge. I vote this a "6" |

Shades of Scarletby WobbleComment by KaDi: What expression! The high-key really enhances your subject and composition. However, I think the skin tone is unsettlingly yellow. Would this have worked as well (or better) in a duo-tone? Still, a beautifully captured expression--the life-lights in the eyes draw one in. |

Carwashby WobbleComment by Tuckersmom: I think this was a good idea, but maybe it could have been made a little more interesting by maybe showing the brush actually lathering up the car at a cool angle or something. |
