In my own imageby WobbleComment by e301: i like the idea, but I have problems with the execution of it - primarily with you light: if you could have kept the clean focus on the 'picture', and yet kept more definition and shape in the hands, background etc. I think the shot would have had more impact. It looks on-board flash-lit, and that rarely makes for a strong image. |

Candlelit Cupsby WobbleComment by ubique: It's an OK photograph I guess, but I'm afraid I feel the subject is just not interesting enough to be worth shooting. Of course, several others also felt a candle was a worthy subject. I don't know if that vindicates my position or yours. Anyway, I can't rate it highly I'm afraid. Sorry. 4 |

01232005.jpgby WobbleComment by aznym: Amazing capture. I love the whole atmosphere created in this one. There's so much depth in it and I love the dark foreground and the shadows + the angle of the light. Excellent stuff. |

New growth... thru the deadby WobbleComment by vadvirag: Nice idea. :-) I miss the bottom of the flowers and you lost some shades of the whites. Maybe a little bit of underexposing would have helped and then you could have helped midtones and shadows with post-processing. I know these flowers and I had some troubles last year photographing the texture too, because harsh sun made it more difficult to get the best exposure for whites and darks at the same time. I wouldn't have cropped it so tight on the right, tyou have cut off a part of that flower, but maybe I would have cropped a few cm on the top. |
