Sweet Embraceby redmoonComment by Arcanist: A good candid that has the potential for art. It is hindered by the short DOF on the fence nearest to the couple and the dark tone. A bit more width in the midrange would go a long way to giving this image that extra oomph to push it into the 8-9 range. The bench behind the wall seems like it should be cloned out. |

Sweet Embraceby redmoonComment by Montereykiddo: Overrall nice shot...that being said, I do have some comments. First of all....is this really candid or was it setup? If it really was candid, then great job! I like the composition, them on the right side of the photo and the bag still on the empty bench. I don't like the hazziness artound their heads. Its almost a soft focu and I really wish that was sharper. I also don't care much for the bench behind the wall....its distracting and could have been very easy to crop out. Nice job. |

[no] Angelby redmoonComment by brianlh: This critique comes courtesy of the Critique Club:
Whatever you lost here in points on technical elements, you certainly seem to have gained back in humor. Like many images, you received a much higher score from commenters than non-commenters, so it may sometimes be hard to look at them and understand why you didn't receive a 7.810 overall score.
I think that my thoughts on this essentially parallel those of jpochard - it is a good idea, but if the technical aspects were pulled off slightly better, it could've received a boost to this already solid score. The sky is a little unnatural/overburnt for my particular taste, and it does look a little grainy. Obviously, considering the figurine, you weren't going for an exact replication - but I sky more similar to the original could have produced an even higher score. Just my take on a possible way that this may have scored even higher that it did. Either way, it's obvious that you evoked an overall positive response from DPC. |

Simplicityby redmoonComment by Bear_Music: this has a kind of Diane Arbus feel to it, except it's a tree instead of a human. I think it's an exquisite image. I might take just a HAIR off the top. as an architectural photographer (retired) I greatly appreciate what you've accomplished here. First "10" I have handed out. |

[no] Angelby redmoonComment by samtrundle: Technically this ain't great - sky is grainy and cartman looks out of focus - but on the other hand, its a really great parody. So this is a nine. |
