Wow, I have a birthday coming up all too soon and I always end up staring at these thinking about where the time went. I like this, its very subtle but tells a tale to me. The wax drips and the flame are great.

Nice urban shot. I like the single word title. If the sky were blue it would take on an entirely different viewpoint but with all of the gray tones, it is monochromatic and works well. 7

I don't like the use of border here. My eye is drawn to the muddling of clouds and border on the upper right edge. Perhaps adding a thin black line on the inner edge of the white border might help.

Hi David - Well I did not vote in this challenge and did not even look at the entries. You should know by now that a lot of folks here at DPC have little conception of what a photograph is. If its not pin sharp then it aint no good! Myself I like this a lot and would have given you a 7 at least. Just dont let them change you.

One of my favourite shots from this challenge. I think this proves that a good photo works even when de-focused. Too bad not many others seem to agree :-)
