Ummm, yes, the soft-focus overall cast to this is just gorgeous. The rose stands out and makes the scene peaceful as does the writing. It does have a rich and velvety feel.

Now, (ahem) if it was mine, I'd change those vertical stripes to a muted color, perhaps contrasting, rather than white. You see, the white makes me want to push the stripes aside to get at the image, but if the stripes were integrated more into the composition (IMO of course) the viewer would relate.

Okay, all this and 5¢ might get you an aspirin; it sure won't get a cup of coffee.
