Fortuitous capture.
I was gonna comment that the color editing didn't allow the fawn to "stand out" from the background very well. Then, when I opened your image in another application, I discovered that the color space was aRGB, and the colors were better, even though the greens are clearly over-saturated. I believe that for web viewing, these images should be sRGB. This image converted to sRGB quite well in Photoshop.
Regardless, it's an above average entry.

Ah! I wasn't sure what you meant. When I process like this I can be sure that folks either like it or hate it, but no one seems to be straddling the fence with it.

I will say that this did not scream vintage to me but I really loved seeing it. Quite a memorable shot. You did a fantastic job of capturing his essence. They just don't make quality characters like this any more.
