The Birthplace Of Steampunkby JakeKurdsjukComment by JakeKurdsjuk: Originally posted by jgirl57: Dramatic feel, really like the deep contrasting on this composite, well put together |
This "composite" was put together in Bethlehem, PA back in the late 1800's on the banks of the Lehigh River. What you have here is just a small view of what's left of the Bethlehem Steel furnaces, closed down for a couple decades now. It's being preserved as a part of an art and entertainment facility, and one of these days I'm going to do something other than shoot thru/over fences. |

What, 58008 wasn't enough?! Boobies wouldn't have fit in the composition. ;) |
The font was obscuring the message. It is not complete without calculator LCD typeface :-)
Congrats on the Top10. |
That was part of my intent and why I put it on the iPhone and not the calculator. I'm a bit of a math nerd and much of the romance of the old calculation devises, including their ability to produce giggles from immature high school boys spelling things in the back of the room, has been lost with readable fonts and modern electronics. So lost that even someone looking for it, as you were, couldn't see it - and neither have any of the hundreds of viewers of this photo on various photo sharing sites.
