i originally shot this on a bright sunny day, but because of the angle i couldn't see and none of the horizons were straight -- but i liked it -- so the next day, which was rainy/foggy, i took some more and got a straight horizon. While the overall impact was better on the sunny day, the ball lying there, all alone on such a dreary day made me think of the children indoors, not playing with it, and with the neighborhood kids all inside and it WAS a quiet day...

I love the misty trees. The toy? doesn't work well with the picture. I think it would've done better off without it. The lush green grass, and blooming trees work well enough.

Very pretty pic -- and while I think you do need some kind of foreground focal element, the ball (?) seems so out of place. Maybe that's what you were going for, if so great. If not, maybe a large rock in its place?
