Fasterby C_Steve_GComment by tpoc: I wish I could see some background scenery or something to help emphasize the speed in this photo. With it just being the racer and road, it ends up looking more like a still shot, even though I know it's not. Something to add perspective would make this a more energetic photo, IMO. |

Classic Auto Detailby C_Steve_GComment by Rasai: Artistic form following function. Again you have used your 'Photographers eye' and your camera to capture the intentions that the designers/engineers had in mind when they put these on the early 'machines' to make them look & work better. Given your appreciation and artistic 'bent', I'm not surprised you did such a fine job of creating a great photo. I just noticed the interesting reflection pattern (pairs of bright white spots in the lower portion of the louvers) which accent and add a pleasing (for me) highlight on the 'metalwork'. Classic Auto Detailby C_Steve_GComment by er0k: I think you have a great eye, and are right for wanting to capture this..(whatever part of the auto it is, lol) but I think it could have been composed better. maybe a slightly different angle or perspective..or a bit closer in to an area so we couldn't see that the repetitions actually end (it needs to appear endless imo!) ..also a slight contrast and brightness +bump with the curves maybe? :) nice shot though. 8 in my book. |

Sea Lion Makes Waves in Local Fieldby C_Steve_GComment by KaDi: It's not everyday that one sees a sea lion--certainly NOT where I come from anyway! The story makes this photo but, unfortunately for the Newspaper challenge, we couldn't really have "captions" proper...just headlines. Still, a fine image outside of the challenge. |
