Comment by GinaRothfels:
I'm not too keen on the harsh back-lighting here. And the picture seems a bit too cluttered.

Nice collection of glass pears. Background is way blown out. Foreground objects are cluttered. Looks like it took two people to take this shot from the reflection in the clear/green glass pear on the right (hint, hint) 7 Swash

now there's a different twist on fruit. you are quite a collector, and have some really nice pieces there. the light coming in through the window at the back is too bright for my liking, and draws the eye too much. i can also see you in the reflections, espeically in the red pear on the left. that's a hard one to control. -- gr8photos.

Comment by DougPaz:
Interesting take on the challenge. The yellow glass object in the back draws me away from the subjects in front however.

Nice idea. Good to see something different. I think that the light from behind is a bit too bright though, it might have been better against a plain background.

Photographers comments: The picture was taken in the dining room of a small English style Bed & Breakfast Inn outside of San Francisco. I did not rearrange anything before taking the picture; this is exactly how I found the setting.

That's a dining table on the lower right. Because of the slow shutter speed I set my camera on the table and used it as a tripod. I received several comments asking about the chairs on the left - they look out of place (too high) because they were on top of a bench in order to get them out of the way during the daytime when they weren't needed for dining.

My thanks to everyone for their voting and comments. This was my first submission to DP Challenge and I found it challenging, enlightening and a lot of fun.
