Anna, You hit the nail on the head with the detail being lost on the lens / "f128". The clouds & fog came rolling in off the coast and I had to keep moving the camera to get light on the lens and f-stops and ran out of time. Thank you for providing me with this critigue.

Thank you for your comments! A good friend & I were discussing the purple challenge and decided to take a few test pictures of the purple peppers in my backyard. We took ‘a peck of purple pepper pictures’ and decided that there was some potential there. We later resisted the temptation to use that theme in the title. We found that a blue sky with puffy white clouds made the best backdrop for cleverly placed plants (they are in pots). Shortly thereafter the blue sky turned to coastal fog blowing in for the evening so we lost that opportunity. As an alternative shooting down towards the water in my swimming pool produced pleasing results yet the DOF was a restricting issue because my pool has a Pebble~Tech finish. That contributed to the ‘noise’ which is actually compounded or created by the various colors of the pebbles in the pool finish. That evening we traveled to his house and looked at the test shots and salvaged what we could of those. As it turns out my version of PS was/is being non-cooperative and we both had very little time to post process and enter.

Great colors - the purple works well aginst the blue. Too bad the closet object is soft and that the bright area is between the two right "hotties."

Background is noisy. I like the 3 colors in it, they work well together and makes the purple stand out. Good DOF, but image seems a bit out of focus.
