Thanks Crayon, this is one of the many varieties of Shield Bug (also known as Stink Bugs) than can be found in Central America.

I definitely agree with you regarding the edited version, nevertheless I prefer to do the editing with Photoshop and try to use the RAW function in the camera as much as possible. I think that the image processor inside Digital Cameras is limited and that Photoshop offers a richer variety of choices to post process.

Good focus to bring out the details in the petals. The stalk on the left side is a little distracting to me since it competes with the primary subject for attention. The soft lighting works quite well for this subject.
