I might like to see how this looks with the leaf on the right cropped out. Though it doen't hurt the image IMO, it may give the image more spatial balance. I dunno.....if you try an edit that way, let me know as I'd love to see it. I do love the grasshopper's brilliance!

The green on the right does indeed provide a very nice frame for this - if it were mine, I'd have left it there, too. EXCELLENT detail and color. There's a nice set of diagonals - one with the stem and the insect, and another behind crossing formed from the bokeh. A very pleasing composition to my eye. Basically I'm at a loss to tell you how this could score higher - I think it's pretty darn good.
