Creative visual effect - she looks like a poster cutout pasted onto a photorealistic old car painting. A character transported from the Gatsby country club into a barn. 6 for something different.

Besides showing us a beautiful, intriguing door, you have managed to include the wonderful grain and textures of the wood. I think this is one of the top images in this challenge.

I love the skin tones, the pink and the shadows on the arm are terrific. An excellent flapper as well, and the car looks super. (My one small gripe is all that warm pinkish sepia tone kinda takes over)

ok, this is immediately intriguing because of its oddness. That car doesn't look like it's from the 1920s, but I think you're trying to imply that... a sense of time travel. The woman is long gone, though she is fresh in our imagination, which allows her to cheat death and decay. I'm not sure how that relates to the themes of the book, though I admit I'm rusty on them. I'm giving you a 6 for an image that shakes me up, even if it doesn't take me very far.

The title says you didn't intend a direct tie to the story. The girl fits the stories era, but the rest of the scene doesn't really. Overall an interesting take. My biggest gripe is the excess smoothing on the girl. 5
