Good idea. I wonder if using a shallow depth of field would have helped eliminate the slightly distracting background to give more focus to your subject.

Unfortunately, while I like the idea, the background you have here is far to distracting and cluttered. I realize you may have been going for a candid, natural moment, but for me, I just can't concentrate on what is trying to be communicated here. The foreground is also pretty soft, which doesn't help distinguish it from the clutter.
