Sorry I didn't comment during the challenge; I really liked this shot and gave it one of my highest scores. The soft focus and subtle lighting worked for me, and it's so invested with emotion. Great job.

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge. This one does. Exposure seems a tad too dark. Is that snow? I really like the composition. Focus is way too soft for me- I assume you're trying to acheive an effect, but for me it fails. I really like the lighting, as if the glove is spotlighted.

Personal:This has a great deal of potential to me, but the lack of focus really hurts it.

Simple yes. There's not enough visual information in this image for me to identify what it is. How about changing the lighting or the contrast, just a bit.
