good lighting, however i dont particuarly like the angle of the photo, maybe a bit higher of an angle woud of made this photo better in my opinion

Maybe just a tad (a tad) longer exposure. I love the lighting though. Much better than your alternate, IMHO.

So that's what they look like during the pop...great idea! Those reflections at the end of the bulb are amazing...for me, the crop is somewhat disconcerting, I'm not sure why...I think it's the long and squat proportion that's a bit strange for me..anyway, still an awesome image!
