Definitely shows proportion! Maybe cropping the left a little bit so it's about the same distance away as the right from the edge would be better. Also, I'm sure a million people have mentioned the annoying speck to the left of the smaller one? So ... what is it anyway?! 8.

I like the wheels but on my monitor the blacks aren̢۪t as deep as they should be, or maybe it̢۪s just soft in the wrong places.

Nice composition and angle! This appears to be shot during a time of rather harsh lighting. A different time of day would have evened out the lighting a little making it appear more even across the image. The blown out parts in the background on both sides are a little distracting.
