Trainby notonlineComment by digitalknight: I see the train, and saw the train, but there is so much visual clutter it's the last thing my eye moves to in the photo. I look at the freeway first as the brightest part of the image, then I wander over to the truck trailers, then at the interesting "blurry wall" - when I realize that's the trick.
I didn't vote on this photo, simply ran out of time. But I did see it during the challenge. I would have given it a 4 because it looks like a snapshot to me. A tighter crop might have helped, but the composition just doesn't work for me.
go down to that road and try it again. I'd like to see what you can do from down there. Hope that's helpful. |

Trainby notonlineComment by Simonjw: Thats great motion blur, particularly with the curve in the rail, I would like to have seen the train composed to be dominant in the frame, the well lighted street tends to draw the eye. Also more exposed to show a little more light on the blur. |

Trainby notonlineComment by rox_rox: I like this. I gave it a 7. Can't really articulate what it is that I like about it, but I'm definitely drawn to the street on the right. It seems to quiet and deserted, though it looks like a place you wouldn't want to be late at night. It's also very crisp for a long exposure and the darkness doesn't bother me. It feels balanced to me. |

Trainby notonlineComment by fixedintime: At first glance I saw this as a night shot and mistook the train as a wall - the lights became the focus of attention, so the impact was lost on me. |

Toronto Train Tracks2.jpgby notonlineComment by DustDevil: I prefer this shot as opposed to the other railroad one. I feel The added tracks make the shot seem wider. I do think the trees way on the right could be colored boosted but other then that a very nice shot. |

Extraordinary City of Torontoby notonlineComment by cools98: This is a great night shot. I really like the smoke. It adds a nice touch to the photo. I wish the water would have reflected more of the city, or that it was cropped off and came out more of a panoramic shot. |
