Gerbera in a WInter Lightby admart01Comment by sfalice: fine crisp color on that flower and perfect use of black for the background. If it was mine, I'd probably have put the flower more to the left side of the frame for more traditional balance but that's probably just personal preference. My monitor shows some little red spots in the black background. Would have been super if those could have 'disappeared'. |

Gerbera in a WInter Lightby admart01Comment by ButterflySis: At a first quick glance the bg looks solid black but after closer inspection there are faint colored spots scattered throughout. I would prefer a solic bg. I like the flower and the water droplets but I'm not sure about the white stem. |

Sunrise Strollby admart01Comment by Brad: Well composed image with all the elements in the right place and good use of splitting the shot with the diagonal. Bumping up to ((8)) |

Sunrise Strollby admart01Comment by Skip: what a beautiful moment you have captured. i have a seriously love/hate relationship pursuing sunrise photography. it's not automatic, and sometimes i spend so much time working at it that i miss the actual experience! it is really difficult to get an exposure that captures everything, and you've done a good job here. and, i really hate saying this, i think your image would really rock if you cropped out the right 30% (meaning the sun, itself). it is just so overpowering that it really takes away from the overall image. hold your hand up to the screen, and you'll see what i mean. but, that's just my opinion. you have a fine image, and i hope it does well for you here. good luck in this, and the challenges yet to come! |

Sunrise Strollby admart01Comment by Azrifel: The human element in this makes it have a good impact. I like the roll of the waves, makes the scene more dynamic. The sun looks a bit strange, but that can happen. 7 |
