Dahlia, Darling!by sfaliceComment by katestange: There are a lot of oonventionally pretty flower macro shots, but this one stands out because of the contrast and colour. Far from being softened with a tight focal plane, it's almost gritty in detail, like an electron microscope picture. I love it. |

-strawberry-swirl-by sfaliceComment by rmezzo: Definitely f4 is too shallow. I backlit my recent shots with (1) 430ex @ 1/16th power. Camera was set to f11 iso200. If you look at shots by irenem, she's using f16. |

-strawberry-swirl-by sfaliceComment by rmezzo: These are looking much better than your first attempts. I really like the colours your experimenting with.
You should add your photo info like f-stop and iso. That way, it's easier to get advice. Looks like you need more DOF in these. I tried f6.3 at first and it was too shallow and tried f11 last night which was a lot better. Message edited by author 2009-08-25 11:59:47. |

The Black Kettleby sfaliceComment by jessielude: I want the silhouette to contain more interest... something with more curves or interesting angles... Good idea, though. |
