This is too well designed to be dismissed as an oddity, in my opinion. I like the lihgt on the front balconies which emphasizes their crescent shape. I'd say that "demilune" is French for "half moon".

Sweet. That building couldn't have been cheap to build. According to dictionary.com, "demilune" is a fancy word for crescent shaped.

The thing on the top looks like a typical HD satellite dish. It's possible that even if the building is wired for regular satellite already, the resident is getting satellite from a foreign language provider. For example, one of my Dad's neighbors has a second dish because she gets Greek language programming from some provider that's not DirecTV or Dish.

What a delight this whole structure is to the eye. The way the balconies are rounded but separated by the flat part of the structure really make them stand out and add optimal privacy. As for the gadget, at first I was inclined to think it was a TV dish too but there is something about it's shape that remind me more of a very sturdy umbrella. Whatever it is, it adds to the fun of this other good find.
