Looks like a lot of work went into the setup. Nicely done trickery.

I think the issue of why it didn't bomb is that it still looked wide enough and could have passed for a 20mm or so, which is probably the widest a few people have.

You basically took a good photograph that fit the challenge but did it in a way to trick people into thinking it didn't fit the challenge even though technically everything would fit the challenge because of the way it was written.
