This one is actually better in my opinion. The lighting is dramatic with the front high light creating deeper shadows. The background is cleaner than the original. The direction of the eyes and amount of light exposing them creates more tension than the original.

Don't know where this will end up, but I'm liking it for the challenge.

One person's snazzy is another's 'clash-y'. LOL, now that is just horrible framing. Bright bold colors just totally overwhelm the B&W composition both in hue and size:-)
