A Touch of Heavenby GussiComment by shareinnc: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Overall, the photo has a dramatic impact. The clouds and clear sky draw the eye into the photo, but the prepoderance of clouds over land gives the eye little to look at once it's there.
The deep color of the sepia is appealing, however the entire photo is a bit too dark.
I would recommend lightening the photo a touch to bring up a few more detail in the land portion so that the dramatic lines of the clouds bring the viewer something that can be easily discerned.

A Touch of Heavenby GussiComment by wetland: great idea...like the perspective and the sepia gives a very emotive feeling to perhaps sunset (?) with pending storm. thanks |

A Touch of Heavenby GussiComment by adine: This is a favorite view of mine. The angle of the clouds points dramatically to Hallgrimskirkja, with a glimmer of the sun's rays dropping down to the city. The golden tone is perfect with the title. I would have included more of the city below the clouds (would the shoreline minic the line of clouds at this angle?) and maybe have put the church into the frame a bit more. But this way it really emphasizes the sky and clouds. Wish the clouds had more definition, not quite so soft. But I think this one would look good on the wall! 7 |

A Touch of Heavenby GussiComment by autool: The sky is too overpowering for me. A little less and you could have still told the same story. 5 |
