Good concept but I'm not sure the final image conveys the feeling.

OMG, this is just perfect. There's not a single thing I'd do differently. I can definitely see this as a print. Love the hues and the clean and simple composition. There's nothing that distracts, in some way, it's like a silhouette, but you also have the details to keep you interested. Hope you get a ribbon!

O wow! A lovely shot! Only thing not PERFECT, imo, is... I wish it were her away-from-the camera hand near her face! 9

There is a lovely glow to the light here. While the background is a blur, the mottled light and patterns give depth to the photo without distracting. The brightest spots on her face seem a bit too bright, and the shadowy side feels a bit mottled.

Very nice picture, I would have cropped out some of the top and include his feet. 8

Great portrait! I like the halo of light around the monk and the darkness around the edges. I don't care for your title- at least the parenthetical part. The title makes it seem like you are either trying to shoehorn the image into this challenge, or you think we need help figuring out how it meets the challenge. Either way makes me want to score it lower than I otherwise would have. Would you have included "(An Extraordinary Goal)" if this weren't for DPChallenge or weren't for an extraordinary challenge? If not, shame on you for for pandering to the masses and not following your own artistic vision!
