Serenityby librodoComment by graphicfunk: This is another masterful rendition by one of DPC's greatest photographer. The quality is impeccable and the majority of entries exude the inner soul of the subject. A very sensitive eye and great compositional skills. |

Natural Beautyby librodoComment by sfalice: As usual, your images are splendid. This one (unfortunately) caught my eye because of the intense frame. I spent way too much time fending off the heavy black before I could see the lovely translucence of the wings and sparkling colors in the body of the dragonfly. Keep up the good work. |

The Purple Spirit!by librodoComment by graphicfunk: From the critique club:
There is a school of thought in the candid portraiture field that seeks to include the lighter side of our nature. There is no drama and no attempt to show the deeper mysteries. Yet many of these attempts fail because the facial expressions and the composition leave a lot to be desired. However, this particular effort is poignant, playful and caught at the apex of the whimsical facial expression.
The deep purple is even demostrated with humor with the arm raised. And then purple continues about the image in different shades.
Most impressive is the razor-sharp expression of the model with adept lighting made to look casual and therefore fit the image. It is unique how the highlights in the eyes adds to the light feeling. They are not your typical catchlights.
This is a fun filled shot with good humor and the viewer soon begins to crack a smile. It is like saying, hey watch: let me make purple fun.
