White balance does seem a little off... however, I disagree with the other comments... I think that with the shavings being the only thing in focus, it makes for a very interesting picture.

Then again, I like "different" pictures...

If the white balance was there, it is an image I could see hanging in my children's room. Honestly. Good work.

The focus plane is right in the middle making the foreground steal the attention, IMO. A bit too much of blurred foreground. Nice try, good luck. 6

I think this would have worked better if more of the shavings were in focus, and maybe closer to the foreground. But I like it.
