Haven't seen as many shots of this subject as I would expect. Reasonable version, this: really concentrates on the texture, which is good, especially in the un-peeled areas.

Good shot of the texture. I would have liked more DOF personally, but seems a lot of closer shots are that way with this challenge. Subject is pretty bland.

Good shot. Might have projected better 'feel' if observer had been a bit further away? at this distance it's a bit too abstract for the challenge (compared with other entries) Still a fine image though and scores well.

Good texture but I would have liked to see all the frame in focus. The cornes seem to blury which takes away from the texture. Good luck.

Good light using. The lateral light is the best light to reveal textures.
