It would also be nice to see the square base of the subject align better with the border of the image, but that may not have been possible, so hard to know without seeing the original. Rusted Pier Pilingby GoboltsComment by whagerbaumer: Very interesting shot. Sorry, I can't be more explicit but unfortunately for me it has the flavor of a snapshot rather than a piece of art. I like the colors and the subject. The problem for me lies somewhere in the lighting and cropping.
