Great work, I like the angle. The black is very black - nice. I like how the pencil almost seems to bend in the middle (could be me staring at the screen for too long. lol) I also like the composition, with the shavings off to the side. Great work 9

Well, there is definate reference to somthing new in this picture. The lighting is good. I'm not quite sure how visually appealing this is, but that's just an opinion. Definatly origional, I'll give it that. I like the humorous approach. Good luck with the challange.

This is kind of interesting... and a unique photo in the challenge. Good focus on the soap and hand, but the background seems a bit dark, giving a colorless effect. Overall, though, pretty good.

I've come back to this picture a few timesâ€Â¦ It's odd, one minute I really like it, the next, I don't. It's challenge representation is really good – 'new clean start' would have been a great title :) Technically, I can't fault the image; It's sharp, slightly dark, well composed and the new soap looks great. First glance, I scored 5, but, having looked again, I think it's a much better shot than just 5 - the more times I come back to it, the more it grows on me. This is the first time I have ever change a score, (9) is fairâ€Â¦ Good luckâ€Â¦

I like the idea, but there's to much evidence of a flash here. Maybe, next time bounce the flash of the wall, or try to use more ambient light.
