I find the background to be rather distracting. Almost to the point of taking all my attention away from the central subject.

Very nice photo. The reason for the low mark is to me it is cliche and does not even seem like a red cliche.

OK, another rose. The background is a little busy, I think, and the lighting a little hard-edged for a soft subject -- perhaps try lighting by reflection or putting white (or red) fabric in front of the sun. That might also help the orange tinge on the rose.
