The Roseby speaseComment by jsgf: The detail is nice, but the colour looks somewhat washed out. Also, roses turned out to be a very common topic, and this picture doesn't really do anything except have a reasonably nice picture of a reddish rose. |

The Roseby speaseComment by Reuben: It's a nice flower, but the color is not very rich and I wouldn't call it red myself. Flower shots aren't very original, especially roses in a challenge called "red", so you have to really pull off a great looking photo to impress me with this type of shot. I think it's a nice photo, but not terribly appropriate for the challenge. |

The Roseby speaseComment by maknbacon: here is yet another, let the rose do all the work shots. No that's just not interesting enough. |

The Roseby speaseComment by Amateur Boy: Your rose has really good definition and the angle of the shot is pleasing. The only thing I can think of changing is maybe the color of the red. Make the red a little darker and a little red'er. I think you might be able to use levels on photoshop if you have access to it. Maybe an input level of 60/1.68/2.20 (rgb) might help it stand out more. Ok enough blah blah from me :). |
