cockatoo eatingby speaseComment by Strikeslip: Very nice focus and depth of field. I have a very tough time capturing shades of white without getting blown out. IMO the lighting (flash?) is too harsh, though, causing the shadows from its head to drop onto its body. My main complaint is the centered composition, which I don't think works in this case. I think your shot would be improved with a crop on the left about halfway between its eye and the edge of its feathers. The flow would then move better from claws to beak to eye, the over the head and down the wing and out of the corner of the frame. Of course, take all of th above with a grain of salt, as it's just me spewing! Good luck, I'm giving you a 6. |

leave me aloneby speaseComment by srbrubaker: Super. I love the expression. Occasionally a perfect title will really make a photo shine; that's the case here. It appears that the lighting created a yellow cast to the photo. Normally I find this quite objectionable; but in this cas it warms the photo immensely and strengthens is much. |

leave me aloneby speaseComment by Konador: I think this would look better in B&W since the colours are all a bit bland and add nothing to the photo. B&W would give more impact to the emotion of the cat and the textures. |
