shellsby flahermaComment by J-Me: Very pretty and nice composition. On my monitor, it's showing up rather low key. Wondering why you didn't lighten it up just a tad? It might have brought out some highlights and depth to give it a bit more punch. Hope it's doing well. :) |

shellsby flahermaComment by GUTomek: Pretty shells, this shot could use a bit more light as their colors would come out a little more. |

controlled freedomby flahermaComment by mcaldo: I love idea, postprocessing, composition. The DOF makes for a dynamic image (assuming the image is straight from the camera, which it looks like). The only thing is that the image makes me think more of 'controlled fall' than controlled freedom. If that was the intention, I understand that for you the act, and the 'controlled freedom but still freedom', could have been after all a good thing.
I tried looking at the image upside down, in order to reverse the concept :), and perhaps it would work by tilting the framing a bit, but ideally if the string was attached to the 'tail' of the butterfly rather than the head.
Just a thought though, I am not 100% sure of your intent.

shellsby flahermaComment by JamesDowning: Image seems very one-tone. Missing some drama, like some good shadows. Nice creative subject though. |
