Narrow streets and the cathedralby RUEDISCHMUTZComment by giantmike: Interestingly, this is the exact orientation I would shoot this scene as well. To me, the cathedral doesn't make itself the subject, the horizontal line of buildings is the subject. It is a nice photo though. |

Empty since 1993by RUEDISCHMUTZComment by SDW: The dramatic sky is nice and a plus to your photograph. However, I do think the shot is taken from to long of a distance to give me a feeling of abandon. I find the foreground catching my eye and then looking up at the sky. It would have been nice if you could have gotten closeup and taken a low point of view shot that included the building and sky. Try to keep your subject on the rule of thirds as well. Hope this helps. |

Empty since 1993by RUEDISCHMUTZComment by Franka: Like: The find, the water.
Dislike: That the clouds are grey :(
What went wrong with the people living there?
EDIT: I sensed this might have been Holland because of the grey sky and the canal. :) Message edited by author 2011-08-15 09:20:36. |

Hortensiaby RUEDISCHMUTZComment by dbosse: too much contrast across the photo, too much difference between petals that are highlights and those at far right that are shadows. |
