I can only imagine how intense this shot would be if he was looking directly into the lens. Great clarity and DOF. In fact it's almost too sharp (not oversharpened...) and might be improved by just a touch of soft focus effect.

Waaaah! I want my NHL back. Excellent DOF. It's got a bit of a vintatge feel to it. Probably due to the worn laces on the skates. 7

I think I would have chosen August (Leo). Great shot. The only distraction I see is the crop. The crop seems a little tight on the top. Since the lion is known for the mane, I would have liked to see enough to frame the face.
