Long Nights Rewardedby PDavisComment by Army of nOne: I like the effort put in here, but each of these items seems very obviously props. There is nothing wrong with that I suppose, but who would take their glasses off before putting down their pen. And the apple is there only to scream teacher. It just comes across as too artificial. Finally, the lines of the glasses and the pen lead to the apple, not to the "Very nice!", which is the subject of the title. I'd like to see a second effort and see what you come up with. This looks like a first try, but not a bad one. |

Long Nights Rewardedby PDavisComment by bananashay: The apple's a bit cliche, though it's a well-composed picture. I like that the comment showing the 'reward' is visible through the glasses. Nice attention to detail. A bit deeper focus would be nice so the apple and back of pen weren't blurry. |

Pumpkin Patchby PDavisComment by leaf: This framing is very limiting. I would like to see more above, or to the left of the pumpkin. You have the right idea of using the rule of thirds with placing the pumpkin off center, but it is much too tightly cropped around the rest of it. At least a little more information (space around the pumpkin) would be good. |

Pumpkin Patchby PDavisComment by LindaLee: I like the negative spaces, and the angle of the light on the pumpkin, but there is nothing here to really make this a stand out shot. There is nothing in particular that grabs my attention, nothing that draws my eyes to it, nothing that gives it that little something extra that would really spark my interest. |
